Do you have any limits on how much email I can receive or send?

We allow you to send or receive up to 300 emails per hour.

Why am I having trouble sending an attachment?

We design our servers to block certain unzipped attachment types which commonly contain viruses, including .bat, .src, and .exe files. We do not allow such files to go out or come in on our servers, to protect from viruses. For security purposes, you cannot turn this feature off; however, if you want to send files of this type, you can by zipping them first. We allow .gif, .jpg, .html, and .pdf files to be sent unzipped.

You may be experiencing trouble with attachments if you are trying to send a file larger than 10MB. This is too large to send over our server. If you are sending an attachment from webmail, our limit is under 2MB. If your attachment is too large to send, try uploading the file to your website and sending the link in an email instead of attaching it. You can even shield the file from the public by password-protecting it.

Why am I having trouble uploading files?

First, make sure you’re uploading your file to the right web directory. You can check this by looking in the public_html folder. If you’re positive you’re uploading to the right location, your disk space might be full.

Why can’t my FTP connect?

There are a few different reasons why this could be happening. First, be sure your firewall isn’t interfering with it. Second, check to see if you have the right IP address: use the one from the “welcome” email you got when you opened your account with us. Be sure you’re entering it correctly: use only the numbers, and don’t include www. or ftp. or any other letters. Third, check the username and password in your “welcome” email and be sure you’re entering those correctly. Fourth, your FTP might need a path to make a connection. If this is the case, use this as a path: (insert path address here).

Why is my FTP so slow?

In your FTP options, check to see if you have “passive” mode enabled. If you do, disable it. If you don’t, try enabling it. This could make a difference. If not, the issue may be with your internet connection.

How can I move my domain name from another host to you?

You must be sure you’ve set up your transfer correctly before you make the transfer. First, be sure you’re using the right email on your domain. They’ll send a “permission to transfer” email to that address. If you can’t access the email, you won’t be able to transfer it. Second, be sure your domain isn’t locked, or you won’t be able to make the transfer. Once you’re sure your domain is unlocked and you have the right email address listed, go here and follow the directions: (link).

When will my domain name be accessible?

Most new domains are accessible in 24 to 48 hours. However, your ISP can affect the time it takes. Different ISP’s update at different times, meaning it could take your domain up to a week to become available if you are using one of the slower providers, such as Comcast or RoadRunner.

I made changes to my website packages’ bandwidth and disk space limits. Why aren’t my websites showing the change?

Even if a website shares the same package name as the one you made changes to, you still have to make the changes manually to individual websites.

What version of cPanel do you use?

cPanel automatically updates itself on our servers whenever there is a new, stable version put out.

What version of MySQL, php, and Perl do you use?

We use the following versions of each program, which are updated whenever there is a new version out:

  • PHP 4.3.11
  • Perl 5.8.3
  • MYSQL 4.0.20
